11 weeks old

Cerberus is 11 weeks old as of today. He is growing very fast.
We went to the vet with him and Iceis, he got microchiped, got Heartguard and is good to go.
I had to stop by the vet and leave a stool sample which came back positive for Coccidia - makes the poop runny, soft. He got a yellow liquid medication, it will help him get rid of it.
Monday I will call again to make the next appointment for him.
The Vet appointment was on the 12th of Dec and he weight 22,1 lbs.

In the meantime we went on a little vacation to Gatlinburg with the doggies and here are some pictures.

7 weeks and 3 days

Status, update on Cerberus:
He is almost 13inch tall. I couldnt weight him because he was moving.
Friday we have the Vet appointment.

We welcomed Cerberus

home on Sunday, 30th of November..

We drove to Paducah, KY to meet the breeder at 8:30 am. I went to the Walmart and when I got out he was already there and puppy was already in the truck, he looked so cute.
We got Chicken Soup for the Dog lovers Soul, his 3 stuffed animals and the papers.
Iceis stayed home.
During the return trip he was walking in the back of the truck, eating, sleeping, sitting up, basically not scared at all. When we picked upIceis from the shelter when she was 3 months old she was scared anxious.
We got home I put him on the leash and walked him to the house, he was smelling the area, playing with leaves.
In the house Ricky put Iceis on the leash and we let them sniff each other. Iceis like she always is and does, sniffed and started growling so he pulled on her and she stopped. We did it again and Iceis growled one more time. I then took her for a walk and Ricky was playing with him.
When I got back I left Iceis on the leash but I was holding it loose, she was sniffing but wasnt tensed anymore she was more relaxed. I let her off the leash and she was following us more then him. He was exploring the house, peed a few times and pooped.
During the first day Iceis was careful and just getting to know him.

Today is day 3 and she is fine with him playing I can say they are friends now.
The only time Iceis is growling or barking at him is when he gets to her bed, she did that at night twice because he wanted to sleep in her bed. Eventually she got up and let him sleep in there. The second time was when they were eating they own food and he decided to get to Iceis bowl and that is when she growled at him.

3 Weeks old

Here some new pictures, he was playing in the food. I would love to see him in action, moving, running around. I can't wait till we finally get to see him in real life.
He is now 3 weeks old and weighs 4,6 lbs.

Our new puppy

I always wanted to have more then one dog, but rationally I could not do it, because of money or space or work. This time it is different. I was thinking long long for months if not a year if we should get another dog.
I was always interested in big dogs, not medium size but large breed. My hubby wanted to have a pit bull or american bulldog. I found this breed called: Dogo Argentino, it is a Argentine Mastiff. Mastiff are large size dogs, but there is always the chance of them being to much dog, I wasn't sure. Until my hubby found this breeder and he had puppies for over $1000 we could not spend that much money on a dog now. So I started looking on different websites and I found the Great Dane.

You can ask everybody that knows me, and they will tell you how often I was talking about this breed. But again I didn't have the money, time, space to hold a dog like that. Things changed :-)
I found a breeder in Dexter, MO and they just had a litter with 11 puppies and I found my little man, no, our little man.
His name is Cerberus and he was born Oct. 10th 2008 6lbs. He is a black Great Dane.
We will pick him up on the 6th of December.!!!
One of my concerns was Iceis, I thought maybe she won't like a new dog, but I started going to the dog park with a friend and she is fine. She just don't like strangers but she gets used to them and plays fine. We will introduce both of them in the outside not at home, so she won't feel disturbed in her territory.
